Shavit turns 8

After my return from Australia I had a busy time. It seems as the whole world was on hold while I was there.
The first thing was installation of the cupboards in the shower rooms, the sinks will have to wait. The faucets aren't installed yet.
Next thing was Shavit's new school. We thought we could leave him in the old school but it didn't work. So we had to do a quick meeting with the new teachers in the short time left for us.
On the first day of school mayhem and chaos came to visit. In addition to the crates piling all over the place, school bags have been thrown. Asia and Mocca loved the idea of hide & bark in the newly created labyrinth and the kids added their own flavor to the mix. I still wonder how did they make it on time for the rides to school.
Once we got over the first day, came the second one. By now chaos and mayhem ignored the hide in the hide and bark. It turned out that everyone was barking except for the dogs. Asia and Mocca played it nice and quiet.
On the following weeks we had meetings with all kinds of creatures - teachers, headmaster, headmistress, educational helpers, and other poor souls like us - parents. By the end of September I can state, this month I have more school time than the kids. Too bad I work somewhere else.
The kids on the other hand are having a good time. They already know the neighbors, and the neighbors' pets. They know the cats strolling around, and the hedgehogs - which we are forbidding them to take as pets.
Actually the only thing we miss is a gate. The idea of the gate is not to keep anyone out. We need the gate in order to keep the dogs in the yard. Left on her own Mocca loves to mess around the neighborhood. Asia, which is smaller, will not go messing around, but she can compete with any karaoke singer (extremely loud noise maker) and flatten it. I think almost everyone knows her by now, and people just ignore her barking, but some kids might find it offensive.
