The Israeli Gaza conflict - a citizen's view

Usually I write in Hebrew on this blog. I deal with the internal Israeli affairs and just like you I don't like some foreigner to decide which medics are covered by my health inssurance and which are not.
There's the usually and there's a "WAR".
I wouldn't say anything like "there are many Arab states, the people of Gaza only need to choose". This argument is incorrect from the root, the "Arabs" are not a single entity. The Gaza people are not welcomed anywhere, not in Egypt and certainly not in Israel.
The Egyptians have there own problems, they don't need 1.4 million people to add to there problems. The Israelis could use (and actually used) work force from Gaza, but nobody wants to get stabbed by his worker. Israelis learned it after too many stabbings have succeeded.
To tell the truth as far as Israel is concerned the Gaza strip should be on its own. But for as long as missiles fly from Gaza to Israel it can't be. No country can tolerate shooting at its people as a regular daily event.
But once Israel has decided to eliminate the threat to its citizens, suddenly the whole world starts to shout about human rights. It's weird that people on one side of the border (yes, it's a border even if the maps don't say so) can be targeted by missiles on daily base for 8 years without a whisper from the world. Yet on the day they say "enough is enough", after a "cease fire" which was not respected by the other side, the same world who never whispered is shouting at its highest volume "STOP!".
As for the saying Israel is killing children, that's the best tactic used by the Hamas. Would you put an explosives lab inside a kinder garden? Unless you're insane the answer is "for god's sake NO!" This logic does not enter Gaza. In Gaza the hospitals are the armories, the missiles are launched from the kids' playground, the civilians are used as shields. And to add insult to injury whenever they shoot at their own children they blame the Israeli army for the shooting.

Those are the neighbors of Israel, if you'd like them you're welcome. Otherwise let Israel do its best and try to help it to achieve long lasting peace.
