Suddenly 9

Ella is 9 years old!
A 9 years old girl is a strange creature. She's angry at us for being her parents, and she loves us for being her parents at the same time. She wants to dress in her own style, but not like a grownup. She's busy acting like a grownup and playing like a child. In general she's nice and confused.
We moved to a new home recently. One of the main reasons was the school Ella attended to. This school isn't functioning at all. We found (actually we suspected it for a long while) that Ella didn't learn at all.
The other reasons are better community, and the sea. We are now 10 minutes walk from the beach, though it's "jellyfish season" which turns dipping to a roulette.
The move had some unexpected additional benefits. For once Ella started riding the bicycle daily. She's actually very good at it.
Shavit on the other hand is having his own difficulties adjusting to the new home. He hasn't found friends yet. We tried leaving him in his old school, but had problems doing so. He'll start at the beginning of the year.
Our current concern is whether we'll be able to stay in Israel. The political climate makes us the next in line target. We're Jews, but not the Orthodox kind. In Israel soon it'll be a crime to not do all the mitzvahs in the Orthodox interpretation. Justice's sword is behind the corner for the PM, which allows the so called Jews to abuse Judaism to their unwanted way. Netanyahu's supporters ignore any fact that show how corrupted he is. Netanyahu is the best PM for Israel's enemies.
I can only say I hope that before Ella turns 10 we'll have another PM.
