Ella, on the verge of 4

It's time for Ella's annual blog. Israel is in wars! Note the "s", it has a good reason to exist.
The obvious war is versus the terrorists in Gaza. Call them Hamas, Jihad, or simply murderers, the result is the same. Israel fights them.
The other war is the internal Israeli conflict. Under normal conditions, the internal conflict is being discussed over dinner on Friday nights. The tones, under normal conditions, are civilized, and nobody changes their mind at the evening's end.
Unfortunately the wars exist, luckily they end (hopefully never to return). Victory, for me at least, would be peace with Gaza. But it's Ella's time, so I'll write about her.
A 4 year old girl is a wonder! It makes you see life in a wider color range. No longer the black, white, and gray scale, suddenly you have the pinks, oranges, blues, greens, and you name it. Bargaining is a normal way to get things done. Either she chooses the clothes she wears, or she'll choose her folks clothes. Any attempt for a change would be answered by a change in a non-related location. "You want me to wear this? I'm taking this doll." As strange as it may seem, she actually holds her part of the bargain, and forces you to hold yours.
Ella treats her brother as a friend and follower. Shavit is probably one of the few who can resist her, when he says "no!", it's a NO, even her persuasions can't change it. He rarely does so, but when he does it' final. Usually it happens on Fridays, upon returning from kindergarten they have a small candy or cake. Ella is fond of the candy, Shavit likes the cakes (candies removed) by far. By the time we're home, everything is eaten, they've splitted/switched/threw away all the edible things, and most of it is inside their tummies. If I knew better, I'd put the tub as part of the entry to our department. They arrive home looking like "fine young Indians", a mix up of chocolate, crumbs, and food coloring.
The last and furriest thing to talk about is Blondie, the new dog. The old one, Romy, died shortly before our move to home. Did a Moses: she saw the department, but never riched it. Both kids love the new dog, Ella remembers the old one too. I'll give more details on Shavit's annual post, he is more attached to animals than Ella. Though Ella takes care of Blondie more often, she'll actually check whether she wants food, water, sunning in the balcony and other strange ideas.

I guess it's a short summary of who is Ella by now. Next year she'll go to public kindergarten, we have high hopes.
